It’s been tough to watch some of my favorite Seattle restaurants and bars get bulldozed over the years to make way for new construction. Progress is fine but I’m sentimental so I’m on a mission to capture vintage dining spots in paint while I still can. I’m also intrigued with the newer restaurants and how they fit into the evolving Seattle landscape. This show is intended as an appetizer, just a small sampling of the work I am creating as I explore this theme.
About the Artist
Best known for his plein air cityscape paintings, Ethan Jack Harrington has been a fixture of the Northwest art scene for over 20 years. His work has been exhibited in galleries across the country and has been featured in museums, corporate and private collections. Harrington’s trademark style of urban impressionism has made his work easily recognizable amongst collectors.
Harrington maintains a jewel-box like gallery in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle where he can often be found painting the pigeons that gather outside as well as hosting group shows of fellow artists.
